High School Heroes celebrate the students of Clark County who courageously step forward to change lives through selfless service. These young champions tackle community challenges head-on, creating powerful solutions that transform hardship into hope. Their bold initiatives — from organizing relief efforts during crises to mentoring vulnerable youth —demonstrate extraordinary character and unwavering dedication. Each honoree has faced obstacles with remarkable resilience, inspiring others through their brave example. Through their heroic acts of compassion, these exceptional young leaders are building a stronger, more caring community and lighting the path toward a brighter tomorrow.

Las Vegas Sun and Las Vegas Weekly proudly hosted the second annual High School Heroes awards, celebrating extraordinary student heroes from across Clark County and highlighting their acts of heroism, generosity and selflessness. The event took place at StarBase Las Vegas, with Las Vegas Sun Managing Editor Ray Brewer serving as emcee and sharing the inspiring stories of each honoree.
The evening was made possible by Presenting Sponsors: the Vegas Golden Knights, Henderson Silver Knights and Vegas Knight Hawks, along with Silver Sponsors: Deloitte and the University of Nevada, Reno Collegiate Academy. The celebration was brought to life with a photo booth by Desert Cactus Booth and festive balloon décor by Social Booth LV. Attendees enjoyed delicious cinnamon rolls from Las Vegas Bakery and custom cookies from Freed’s Bakery.
